Two Tone Crepe Paper Bows

Craft· Handmade Gifts· Paper

Two Tone Crepe Paper BowsHello there Lovelies!  Can there be a craft anymore cuter than this one?  I mean really.  Today I am so excited to show you how to make these Two Tone Crepe Paper Bows.  I just love super cute and easy craft projects that are all occasion.  I chose some bright and spring like colors to create these precious paper bows.  I thought with Easter and Mother’s Day coming up, these darling bows would be a great accent to any pretty package.  Just put a bow on it!

DIY Crepe Paper BowsIf you have been following me for awhile, you know I love pretty paper, packages and all things related.  Make sure to check out my Pinterest board for more gift wrap ideas.  So, I am totally in love with these two tone crepe paper bows.  They literally take just minutes to make and create such a fabulous statement.  I love the purple, coral and green color combo.  Who knew those three colors went so well together?

How to make crepe paper bowsHere are the supplies I used to make the two tone crepe paper bows:

  • Double sided crepe paper
  • Glue Dots Mini Roll
  • Scissors
  • Ruler

Let’s make it!

How to make a crepe paper bowStart by placing the color of the bow you want to make face down.  The colors of the crepe paper bow that I will show you how to make are party pink and magenta.  I have the party pink side up because I will make a magenta bow.  Does that make sense?

Next, using a ruler, cut a piece of the crepe paper 4 3/4″ width and 6 1/4″ height.  This is the size that I like.  You can play around with dimensions if you like.  Also, this crepe paper is stretchy, so I stretched it slightly to make it easier to work with.

How to make a crepe paper bowFold the two end pieces from the long side to the center.  Now you will see the magenta color.

How to make a crepe paper bowTake your thumb and index finger and pinch the crepe paper together almost like an accordion.

How to make a crepe paper bowCut a small strip of paper and wrap around the center of the bow.  I want the party pink to show, so I am gluing down the magenta side.  That is where the two tone comes in.  Secure the strip with a mini glue dot.

How to make a crepe paper bowThen I glued the two ends of the bow using mini glue dots.  This step just make the bow look nice a neat.

Easy to make crepe paper bowAnd there is your two tone crepe paper bow.

Crepe Paper BowYou can add these bows on packages or use for decoration.  They would even be cute as a hair bow.  Maybe just add a small clip or headband.  Or what about a bracelet….hmm.

Enjoy!
