Roasted Pumpkin Seeds Recipe and Good Bag

If you haven’t already carved a pumpkin this year for Halloween and wonder what to do with the seeds, you will want to check out this recipe.  You can snack on the seeds yourself or give them as a gift to friends and family.

Ingredients
  • Pumpkin Seeds
  • Water
  • Salt
  • Olive Oil
  • Cajun Seasoning
  • Chili Powder
  • Paprika
  • Garlic Powder
  • Onion Powder
  • Cumin
Instructions
  1. After you have collected all the pumpkin seeds, rinse and drain.
  2. Add the seeds to a measuring cup.
  3. In a medium sauce pan on the stove top, add two cups of water and ½ teaspoon of salt to every ½ cup pumpkin seeds.
  4. Bring water, seeds and salt to a boil. Simmer for 10 minutes. Drain the seeds.
  5. Pour 1 tablespoon of Olive oil onto a baking sheet. Then add the pumpkin seeds.
  6. Lightly sprinkle the seeds with all the spices then place in a 400 degree oven for 15 to 20 minutes until the seeds are browned.
  7. Allow the seeds to cool before eating.

How to make roasted pumpkin seeds

Drain the seeds for a second time and lay on a baking sheet that has been coated with olive oil.  Lightly sprinkle the seeds with spices and mix to coat the seeds and bake in a 400 degree oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
