PB2 Oatmeal

Better Choices· Beverages· Cook

PB2 Oatmeal with Almond Milk is a quick heart healthy breakfast option.  Made with powdered peanut butter and oats, this is a great recipe!PB2 Oatmeal with Almond Milk 2Happy Thursday!  Today I have a quick and healthy breakfast recipe to share with you.  This PB2 Oatmeal is packed full of nutritious ingredients and will keep you full for hours.

I don’t know about you but I just hate making breakfast.  I’m not a morning person and I’m hungry when I get out of bed.  I need something fast!  This oatmeal fits all the requires for a fast and healthy breakfast.  Plus, it’s a great pre-run meal.  I am actually running a 5k this weekend so this will be my go to for fuel.

PB2 Oatmeal with Almond Milk

Oatmeal is heart healthy and it lowers cholesterol and contains antioxidants.  It does contain fiber so watch out.  I like adding the powdered PB2 in my oatmeal.  It has the same great taste as peanut butter without all the fat and calories and it still has the protein.   Also, I like using almond milk instead of regular milk.  Almond milk also has antioxidants, calcium and vitamin E.

May I know how much are your measurements of half cup of oatmeal?
Roughly how many tablespoons would it be? 🙂
    Thanks a bunch!

Hello Bernice! I had to google it but there are 8 tablespoons in half a cup. Hope this helps! Thanks for stopping by.

do you cook the oats first with water and then combine them with the milk and pb2 and microwave for a second time or do you mix the milk and pb2 with the raw oats and microwave once?

    • The Casual Craftlete says

      April 1, 2015 at 9:43 am

I make the oatmeal as directed on the package, using almond milk. Then add the PB2. Enjoy!

I saw your chocolate PB2 oatmeal recipe first but I didn’t have any PB2 with premium chocolate. So I used this recipe but used chocolate almond milk instead. I didn’t add cinnamon though. I feel like I’m eating a no-bake cookie for breakfast! This is wonderful!!! I’ve found my new breakfast 🙂 Thanks!
