How To Make Castile Soap That Will Save You Money

Cleaning· Craft· Home Health and Beauty· Skin Care· Soaps and Bath Bombs

This hand soap recipe is an all-natural, safe liquid castile soap that cleanses and soothes.

I suffer from dry, itchy skin especially during the winter.  My skin will get rough and alligator like if I don’t moisturize them.  No one wants wrinkled hands like look like crepe paper, am I right?  But I have to be careful about what products I use because I have sensitive skin and I don’t want to pay for expensive soaps that won’t work or will irritate my skin.

Which is why I need a money saving hand soap that heals

I’m constantly on the lookout for quick and easy hand soap recipe.  I love using castile liquid soap because it’s made exclusively with organic oils, is gentle on the skin and is inexpensive.   This hand soap recipe is made with just 3 steps and smells amazing!

Benefits of Soothing Liquid Castile Soap

Supplies (affiliate links):

  • Pure-Castile Soap with Tea Tree – natural cleansing properties
  • Eucalyptus Essential Oil – natural germicide, may also help treat skin infections
  • Vitamin E Oil – anti-oxidant
  • Grapeseed Oil – anti-inflammatory
  • Distilled Water
  • 16 oz Amber Soap Dispenser

I have only use this recipe for my hands but most of the ingredients can also be used for your face and body.  Maybe I should make a few new recipes to share.  What do you think…would you like that?

How To Make My Liquid Castile Hand Soap Recipe

Step 1: Preparing and sterilizing your soap dispenser.   Apply an all-purpose cleaner to a rag/sponge/paper towel to clean both the inside and outside of the dispenser.  I have a great 3 ingredient all-purpose cleaner recipe that works great!

You can use a foam dispenser if you like foam soap.  Just be careful not to vigorously shake the dispenser or you’ll end up with a lot of bubbles.

Step 2: Pour one and a half cups of distilled water into the dispenser.  By adding the water first, you reduce the risk of bubbles overflowing the bottle.

Step 3: Add 1/2 cup of castile soap, 1 tablespoon of vitamin E oil and grapeseed oil, and 20 drops of eucalyptus oil into a measuring cup and mix together with a spoon.

What to Expect When You’re Done

This Money Saving Castile Soap Recipe has a thinner consistency but it works the same, if not better than regular liquid soap.  Once you purchase the supplies, you can make this recipe multiple times saving money in the long term.  I had all of the ingredients except the castile soap, so for me the cost was super cheap.

When you have these supplies on hand, you can easily make several other DIY recipes such as:

  • DIY cuticle oil
  • Handmade moisturizing cream
