Lavender Goats Milk Soap Recipe - easy to make diy soft soothing soap that smells amazing.

Hello there!  Today I am sharing how to make your own DIY Lavender Goats Milk Soap made with ingredients and materials from your local craft store.  This soap can be easily made by melting a few soap making products.  Goats milk adds the creamy richness of milk fats, selenium, and vitamins A & E that all nourish and repair human skin.  The lavender is soothing and aids in relaxation.  This lavender goats milk soap recipe smells amazing!

DIY Lavender Goats Milk Soap Recipe - easy to make soap for beginnersThis diy soap recipe is very easy to make and great for beginners.  All you need are a few soap making materials which I purchased at my local craft store.  This is a lye free soap, so no harsh chemicals and crazy measure and mixing techniques.  Lavender soap is a great soap to have have on hand all year.  It also is a great gift idea for any and all occasions.

How to make homemade Lavender Soap

For this Lavender Goats Milk Soap recipe you will need:

  • Goats milk soap base
  • Lavender essential oil
  • Dried lavender (optional but recommended)
  • Soap molds

Step 1:  Following the instructions on the soap base container, heat desired amount of soap in the microwave for (40 seconds on high, then 10 second intervals until melted) or in a double boiler.  *I used half of the soap base and microwaved it in a 2 cup Pyrex measuring cup, stirring with a spatula after each 10 second interval.  This amount will make 4 rectangle bars and 2 – 3 inch x 3 inch squares.  Or, you can use your choose of your own soap molds.

Step 2:  Add desired amount of lavender essential oil (I used 10 drops) and dried lavender to the liquid soap base and stir until well combined.

Step 3:  Pour the soap into the molds and let cool (20-40 minutes).  I let mine cool overnight just to make sure the soap was completely set.  The soap may be soft to the touch after it is completely set.

Step 4:  Release the soap using your thumbs by applying, gentle constant pressure to the molds. Wrap soap in wax or parchment paper to keep from sticking.  Add pretty package if you are using this soap as a gift.

Use on your hands, feet or entire body for a soothing and soft to the touch feel.

This lavender soap is white in color with flecks of dried purple lavender throughout.  It is very beautiful and smells amazing.  Lavender has such a calming scent to it.

Hi Jessica! I believe the rectangle soap mold is from Hobby Lobby and the square soap mold is from Michaels. Hope this is helpful 🙂
