First let me start by saying, HELLO!!!
This is my very first blog and posting. Let me give you a little background as to who I am and why I have decided to dive in and join the blogging world.

My name is Katie. I just turned 30 years old in June…EEK! I am from a small town in Southern Illinois. I am a lover of crafts, baking and running.

I am a wife of almost 8 years to my wonderful yet quirky husband, Mike. We have had our ups and downs just like any couple, but GOD is the glue that holds our marriage together! We met at church (the same church we still attend) 11 years ago. WHOA…typing that makes me feel old. Anyway, I love him to pieces. Even though I might not always show it or say it, he knows it!

We have a beautiful daughter Ellie. Ellie is the reason why I am able to blog and do the things I love. She will be 2 years old July 5. Before I had Ellie I was a miserable unhappy slave to the 9 to 5 job. Once I got pregnant I knew I wanted to be a stay at home mom. Thank goodness that was God’s plan all along.  NOW I am able to raise my daughter and do the hobbies I enjoy doing. I have always been a crafty person. My favorite crafts to make are ones that can be given as gifts to others…cards, etc. I LOVE food, especially sweets. I just started running last year and will share that experience a little later on.

My goal is to posts craft projects that others can do and give you recipes to my sweet treats. I also want to let you know how my running and weight loss is going. * I am a normal everyday mom who is NOT Superwoman.  I only do the things I can in the time I have.
