DIY Flair Buttons and a Back To School Giveaway with Gymboree.

Hello there!  I can’t believe my only child starts kindergarten next week.  Where does the time go?  To get back to school ready we are teaming up with Gymboree to share a craft project for DIY Flair Buttons that will go great with your new Gymboree back to school clothes.  Gymboree and myself are offering ONE lucky winner a $50 GIFT CARD TO GYMBOREE!  Doesn’t that sound pretty awesome?!  

Let’s start with the DIY flair buttons!

Supplies:

• Scrapbook Paper 
• 1 inch Circle Punch
• 1 inch Clear Epoxy Stickers
• Bottle Cap Pendants
• Tacky Glue
• 3/4 inch Ceramic Disc Magnets

Instructions:

I started by picking out some scrapbook paper that would coordinate with my daughter’s new back to school Gymboree outfit.  Then I used a 1 inch circle punch to punch out the pattern paper.

Once you have punched out the scrapbook paper, place a clear epoxy sticker over the top of the paper.

Place a small amount of tacky glue on the inside of the bottle cap.  Place the epoxy sticker with the pattern scrapbook paper right side up.  Let the glue completely dry.

I decided to use magnets instead of a pin because kids don’t like pins and you don’t want to poke a hole through your new back to school clothes.  You will need one magnet per flair button.  Hold the flair button where you want it and place a magnet underneath the clothing to hold in place.

My daughter loves to wear dresses and fun accessories and Gymboree’s back to school line has the cutest options!

These DIY Flair Buttons looks so good on Gymboree’s Quilted Moto Jacket.  This jacket is so adorable and perfect for fall!

We love to accessorize with a bow headband, bangles, and patent glitter satchel.

This floral dress is so perfect for the first day of school.  It’s short sleeved and the colors are so fun and vibrant.  Pair with bright berry cable tights and sparkle ballet flats for a cute back to school look.  Don’t forget to add the DIY flair buttons to a purse or backpack for extra cuteness.
