Crock Pot Italian Beef

Looking for an easy Italian Beef recipe for game day or dinner for a busy family?  Then you will want to try this recipe out.

It’s so hard during the week sometimes to find the time to make dinner.  That is why I love Crock Pot meals.  You can just throw all the ingredients in there in the morning and it’s ready for dinner.

List of ingredients:

  • Chuck Roast (I used a 2.5 lb roast)
  • 1 Packet of Good Seasons Zesty Italian dry salad dressing mix
  • 2 Tbs Italian season
  • Pepperochini and juice (I used 5-6)
  • 2 Beef boulion cubes
  • 2 cups hot water

Ingredients for Italian Beef

Step 1:  Spray the inside of the Crock Pot with cooking spray.  This just makes cleanup easier.  Then, add your chuck roast.

Step 2:  Sprinkle  the packet of Zesty Italian dry salad dressing mix over the chuck roast.

Step 3:  Add 2 Tablespoons of Italian Seasoning.

Italian Season

Step 4:  Add as many Pepperochini and as much juice as you like.  We like this a little on the mild side, so I just added 5 to 6 and a splash of juice.

Peperoncini

Step 5:  Fill a 2 cup Pyrex measuring cup with water.  Add two beef bullion cubes to the water then microwave on high for 4 minutes.  Then, add the water to the Crock Pot.

Added beef boulion cubes to Italian Beef

Step 6:  Cook the beef on low for 7 – 8 hours or on high for 4 – 5 hours.

Serve on a hoagie roll with chips.  *You can add cheese to the rolls if you like.

Yum! We have been making this in my family for years! It is my favorite! But we have never used the Italian dressing! And we always use beer instead of water. Sounds Delish! Just stoppin by from Tell Us Tuesdays!

Thanks for stopping by, Carli! I grew up in a house where my parent’s didn’t drink, so we never used beer. I know LOTS of people do use it in their Italian Beef. Let me know if you try the dressing! Have a wonderful day!
