Hello there!  You guys… today, I am sharing the easiest bath bomb/fizzy recipe to date.  These English Rose Bath Fizzies are easy to make and they smell incredible.  I love popping one of these fizzies into the bathtub for a relaxing and peaceful time.  The smell is fresh and the fizzies turn the water a beautiful pinkish red color.

This recipe is adapted from my Green Tea Bath Bombs and Pumpkin Spice Bath Bombs

Supplies (affiliate links):

  • Silicon Mold
  • 3 cups Sodium Bicarbonate (Baking Soda)
  • 1.5 cups Citric Acid
  • 1 oz. English Rose Fragrance Oil
  • 10 ml Adobe Brick La Bomb Colorant
  • Witch Hazel
  • 8 oz. Bottles (Spray Top)
  • Dropper

Instructions:

*The silicone mold I used is only for health and beauty products.  I don’t use it to cook.

In a large bowl, combine the sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) and citric acid. Use your hands or a mesh strainer to remove any clumps.  You might want to wear gloves just to protect protect your hands.

Add 1 oz English Rose Fragrance Oil using a dropper.  I used 10 ml of this oil for this recipe or approximately 3 full droppers.  The plastic droppers I used each measure 3.5 ml (.7 tsp) and are graduated for ease of measuring.  I highly recommend these droppers for essential oils.  They are easy to use and very durable.

Add 10 ml of Adobe Brick La Bomb Colorant using the squeeze bottle.  I wanted a light pink color so I didn’t add that much colorant but if you want a deeper red you will need to add lots of colorant.  The colorant is what gives the bath bombs their beautiful color.

Once you have added all of the liquids to the powder mixture, use your hands to fully incorporate all of the ingredients together.  Spritz the bath bomb mixture with witch hazel.  The mixture should be wet enough that when you squeeze the powder in your palm, it will stick together.  The recommended amount of witch hazel is between 7-10 spritzes.  I sprayed more than that amount.  You just have to check the consistency.

Press the bath fizzy mixture into the silicone mold making sure to press firmly packing the entire mold cavity.  Allow the bath fizzies to set up for at least 15 minutes.  Gently pop the fizzies out of the molds.  Place the bath fizzies on wax paper and allow to completely dry overnight.  Store in an air-tight container free from water and moisture up to 6 months.
